Court interpreting has long been  recognized by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf as a distinctive field requiring advanced skills and training.  Specialized certification for ASL interpreters has been acknowledged as the hallmark of the professional ASL court interpreter.  Court interpreter training seminars have been developed to support and facilitate the court interpreter's growth and development.   Court Interpreter Training Resources is designed to provide a forum for the legal interpreter to exchange information, network and obtain information on educational opportunities.    Court Interpreter Training Resources is owned and operated by Carla M.  Mathers, Esq., CSC, SC: L (2000).  The site is designed for legal interpreters pursuing more information about the specialized field of court and legal interpreting.
